Eagles Nest Trail is a popular hiking trail in Nevada, known for its scenic views and accessibility. Here’s some key information:

Location:

 • Trailhead: The Eagles Nest Trail is located near the town of Mesquite, Nevada, within the Virgin Mountains area.

Trail Details:

 • Length: Approximately 2.5 miles out and back.

 • Difficulty: Moderate. The trail includes some elevation gain and rocky terrain, but it’s manageable for most hikers.

 • Elevation Gain: About 600-700 feet.

Highlights:

 • Views: The trail offers panoramic views of the surrounding desert landscape, including views of the Virgin River Valley.

 • Wildlife: Keep an eye out for local wildlife, including birds of prey, which is how the trail got its name.

 • Best Time to Hike: Early morning or late afternoon to avoid the midday heat, especially during the summer months.

Trail Tips:

 • Water: Bring plenty of water, especially during hotter months.

 • Footwear: Wear sturdy hiking shoes due to the rocky sections of the trail.

 • Navigation: The trail is well-marked, but it’s always a good idea to carry a map or GPS device.

Accessibility:

 • Parking: There is a parking area at the trailhead, but it can fill up quickly on weekends.

 • Facilities: There are no restroom facilities at the trailhead, so plan accordingly.

Safety:

 • Heat: The area can get extremely hot, so it’s important to be prepared for the weather.

 • Wildlife: Be aware of snakes and other desert animals, and always stay on the trail to avoid disturbing the natural habitat.

This trail is a great option for those looking to experience the natural beauty of Nevada without a strenuous hike.

Can’t wait to see all the pictures 🙌🏻🥾
